Our Menu

I write our menu monthly. It’s kinda my thing. Every month, at the end of the month, usually during dinner, I stand up, erase the white board that hands above our dinner table, and I ask everyone what they want to eat next month.

The kids all yell, “PIZZA!” about a thousand times, hubby makes several good suggestions, and then I open Pinterest and see where that takes me.

There is a method to this madness, though. What I do, in a nutshell (I’ll talk about this process more in detail in my podcast sometime), is I assign a type of food to each day of the week. For example, we might have chicken on Mondays, tacos on Tuesdays, crockpot meals on Wednesdays, etc. Then I fill in the menu by the column. Hubby helps with this a lot.

Me: “Name a chicken recipe.”

Hubs: Names 3

Me: Writes in three of the Mondays

It’s really quite simple.
