Crackerball Dressing Recipe
I’m so excited that I was given permission to share this family recipe for Crackerball Dressing! This Friday the recipe walk-through will post at 6am on the Sparrow Parents Podcast, but here is the actual recipe for those of you who like to be prepared going in to cooking!
This recipe is from the kitchen of the Southard Family
Cracker Ball Dressing
Ingredients:
3 Tubes Unsalted Saltines
1 Egg
1 Stick Butter - Melted
1 Cup Chicken Broth
Cooked Chicken (or turkey)
Chicken Gravy
Spices to taste:
Minced Onion
Dried Parsley
Thyme
Pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crumble saltines in a large bowl. Add egg, butter, and broth. Stir.
Add spices to taste/smell.
Shape into balls and line ungreased casserole dish. Add cooked chicken (cut into bite-sized pieces) and put in center of dish. Pour on gravy.
Cook covered 30-40 minutes. Serve over mashed potatoes.
